Start the school year with the top 10 study apps
2. Things 3
Task list apps are all types and sizes, but if you really want an app where you can enjoy your entire study, then it's Things 3. This (pricey) app is the Tasks app of Tasks apps. With clear design, smart iOS calendar integration, sync and layout integration, you can lose all your dozens. No matter if they are relevant now if you ever want to do them again. The only obstacle is the high price, and the fact that you have to buy the app on both the iPad, iPhone and Mac.
3. Scannable
More and more studies are completely digital, but there is a chance that you will soon find a printed paper that you need to keep. Save yourself the effort to put it in your bag and scan it with Scannable. The free app recognizes the paper and automatically scans it, after which its readability is improved. This way you always have the form on hand and do not mind crushing / cracking in the magazine.
4. iA Writer
In our Oogappels section we discussed that iA Writer is the ultimate app for us to work out a text. The app has a minimalist design so you will not be distracted. In addition, everything is synchronized with the cloud, allowing you to automatically access all your documents on your iPhone, iPad, and Mac. The dark mode also rests on your eyes if you have to work on your essay in the hollow of the night.
5. Google Keep
Keeping your notes in a clear way is a complete task, especially if you need to bundle pictures, task lists and quick writing. Google Keep creates order in this chaos with a clear app in which you can save all these types of notes.
A useful occurrence is that you can connect several people to a note so that you can simultaneously work on the same document. Handy for a task list in which each group member can separately decide which parts of the project have already been completed. This information is then automatically synchronized to the iPhones of all other members.
6. Photomath
It sounds almost too beautiful to be true: an app that solves all calculations for you. Photomath proves that it can: simply point your iPhone on a page with bills and the app automatically gives you the correct result. The app is called reading manuscripts, so in that case you will need to use the keyboard. However, for digital or printed calculations, the app works very well and very quickly.
7. iStudiez Pro
One of the most popular school apps has been iStudiez Pro for years. The app has a little bit of everything you can expect from a modern calendar. You can easily import your Calendar or Calendar data from your app, and also have grade lists, teacher reviews, lessons, and more. There is also a handy Apple Watch app, so you can take a look at your wrist to know where to go and what appointments you have.
8. Sleep Cycle
A good night's rest is important if you want to concentrate yourself, and exactly that, Sleep Cycle helps a hand. The app analyzes your sleep based on your movement and sound and assesses your sleep quality every morning. For example, after a while you know what days of the week you are most active, and when it may be smart to go to bed a few hours earlier. In addition, Sleep Cycle has a smart alarm clock that wakes you up at the best moment.
Google Drive is an ideal tool when working with a group on a project. You can easily upload your documents so that you can access it on any device. Even if you're working on files, this is a handy way to make sure your essays and other documents are securely stored. This way you always have a backup if something goes wrong with your MacBook or iPad.
If you are having difficulty focusing, you must try Forest. This app links a game element to your study sessions so that you (hopefully) will continue to concentrate more slowly. Each time you start studying, you plant a tree that grows until you pick up your iPhone again. In this way, you will gradually create a forest with smaller and (hopefully) larger trees, while you can see in a table how concentrated you have been working lately
